Arriva, si toglie le ciabatte e chiede quale canzone vogliamo ascoltare. Io, sfacciato come sempre, gli chiedo “Fear of fear, please“. Pensavo non mi prendesse nemmeno in considerazione, invece gli si sono illuminati gli occhi e mi ha risposto “nice!”, mi ha chiesto il nome, lo ha pronunciato al microfono e ha detto che mi dedicava questa canzone che, tra le altre cose, è quella che amo di più fra le sue e si piazza piuttosto in alto fra le mie preferite in assoluto, senza contare che è praticamente la colonna sonora di questa simpatica estate. Insomma tutto credevo andando a Pistoia meno che di ricevere un regalo del genere da un artista straordinario, da una persona davvero notevole. Domani sera andrò al suo concerto e sarà strepitoso, non dubito. Ma un’emozione come quella di stasera mi sa che sarà difficile replicarla 🙂
He arrives and takes off his flip-flops and asks us which song we would like to listen to. Brash as ever, I ask him “Fear of fear, please” .
I thought I did not even take into account, however his eyes lit up and he said “nice!”, he asked me my name and pronounced it to the microphone, saying that he dedicated to me the performance of that song which is, among other things , the one I love most in his square and quite high in my absolute favorite, not to mention that it is practically my summer soundtrack.
Basically everything I thought going to Pistoia unless I receive such a gift from an extraordinary artist, a truly great person. Tomorrow night I will go to his concert and it will be amazing, no doubt. But an emotion like that tonight I’m afraid it will be difficult to be replicate.
